Bio

Originario de la pequeña (soleada) ciudad de Workington en el Distrito de los Lagos y luego se mudó a la aún más soleada Glasgow, Ross tiene raíces muy fuertes en la escena del skate de Cumbria y Escocia, con secciones en Adam Toddhunters: “Coast to Coast” y Iron Giraffes: “Overcast” y “Dalriada” Ross va viento en popa con entrevistas, fotografías y clips para varias revistas de skate.

Cuando está fuera de la tabla, Ross es un entusiasta artista, carpintero y amante de las actividades al aire libre, a quien le gusta comer salchichas y construir obstáculos para patinar en la cada vez mayor comunidad de skate de Glasgow. Siendo uno de los patinetas Karma y el uretano Supertoxic parece ser los ciclistas del equipo con más años de servicio, estamos orgullosos de tener a Ross representando a Route One y ansiosos por ver qué le depara el futuro al Sr. Zajac.

WHO INFLUNCES YOU THE MOST IN SKATEBOARDING?

I like it all. I’m influenced by all the skateboarding I see. The local crew, the euro scene, American videos, even skaters I don’t like. Its good to see how everybody skates differently and looks at spots differently. Even if it’s not my first choice.

WHO INFLUENCES YOU THE MOST OUTSIDE OF SKATEBOARDING?

Recently I’ve been reading a lot of philosophy and getting into a lot of art. I think it’s good to learn all the different ways you can think about things.

WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISENTING TO RIGHT NOW/ LAST SONG PLAYED?

I’m listening to a lot of jazz at the minute. My favourite song right now is probably “Peace Peace” by Bill Evans.

WHAT MUSIC GET’S YOU AMPED TO SKATE?

Animal collective always does the job. Gets you into the Alien Workshop zone.

FAVOURITE ROUTE ONE PRODUCT?

Big Wale Cords. Perfect!

IF YOU COULD STEAL A TRICK FROM ANOTHER RIDER, WHO AND WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Its not a trick as such, probably Thackeray’s commitment hahah! He just stays on his board and never bails out!

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR CITY?

All the Glasgow skaters are sound. There are pockets of crews all over and there’s spots everywhere and pretty much none of them are a bust.

IF YOU HAD THREE WISHES, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

I have no idea, so I’ll be cheesy and say id put them all into world peace lol.

IF YOU HAD A PRO GRAPHIC, WHAT WOULD BE ON IT?

I had one with coffee one it. That seemed pretty fitting. Oat Milk Flat White please lol.

BEST EVER SKATE MISSION?

Not sure about favourite but a last-minute trip to Krakow is one that stands out. Great spots, great crew and the local skaters are incredibly hospitable.
