As they prepare for their 20th anniversary celebrations, RIOT Skateshop continues to age like a fine wine, and 2025 looks to be another vintage year for the iconic Bordelais establishment with the release of their Dunk Low collaboration with Nike SB. Paying homage to the vast vineyards of the acclaimed winemaking region, this collaboration decants the rich heritage of Bordeaux’s wine culture into skateboarding’s most desirable silhouette.

Visuel / Appearance
Pouring forth from the cellars of skateboarding heritage, the Dunk Low uncorks a mahogany and dark beetroot masterpiece, with deep tones indicative of a twenty-year-old vintage. A nod to Riot’s cavernous former-wine storage location and Bordeaux’s rich skateboarding and viticulture tradition, the shoe is coated in details of significance that enchant the senses.
Arômes / Aromas
Aged to perfection, the Dunk’s mahogany leather which drenches the body breathes a warm, earthy complexity, mirroring the depth found in aged oak barrels; enriched with bold aromas of black nubuck in the underlays and punctuated by the lighter tannins of Team Red seen across the collar, laces and heel tab.
Gustatif / Taste
A pop of brightness from the Sail foam midsole delicately balances the shoe, a refreshing interruption from the richness of the upper and outsole. Upon wearing, the Riot Skateshop x Nike SB Dunk Low offers a plush, cushioned feel, akin to the velvety mouthfeel of a smooth merlot, and co-branded cork-lined Zoom Air insoles provide full-bodied support. Moving underfoot, a fresh burst of translucent red grape detailing sits below the tread; an homage to the terroir and renowned grape varieties of La Belle Endormie.
Fin de bouche / Finish
A finish of finesse comes from the attention to detail in the Dunk Low; the burgundy flavour lingers through the stitching of the upper and cuts through the lightness of the midsole. Further complexities develop throughout the silhouette: debossed heel tabs with Nike and Riot branding sit on the left and right, respectively, adding another layer of texture to the party; a two-panel reflective swoosh is central to the flavour profile of the shoe; and embroidered on the lateral heel, Riot Skateshop’s iconic canine insignia marks a fine tribute to the gone, but not forgotten, shop Labrador Pooch.
The Nike SB x Riot Skateshop Dunk Low is marked with a Riot branded wax seal, stamping the latter’s status as Bordeaux’s finest: a crescendo to the rich affair.
