Johnny Purcell's "Nova Scotia" Part
May 2023

Although often overshadowed by the noisy neighbours on the Southerly side of the International Boundary, Canada have made quite a habit of producing ground-breaking young talent, with names akin to Mark Appleyard, Wade DesArmo, and Rick McCrank coming to mind. Johnny Purcell is one of the latest batch of modern exports, skating for Alien Workshop and Vans and bringing to the table a creative approach to traditional trickery and a unique eye for skate spots. Following up on a part for freeskatemag a couple of years back, Johnny's skateboarding has clearly found its own distinctive lane.
