Situating itself somewhere between skate video and legitimate art gallery installation, Brett Nichols' "Broadway" is a feature-length experience transcending the norms of skateboard videography. Blending soulful supercuts of Northern California's classical Bay Area architecture with creative skating from a host of talent, including 2010 SLAP One in a Million alumni Reuben Barrack; and Josh Paz, whose effervescent outlook on skating the cuttiest spots closes the video in style, Broadway takes cues from its predecessors (here's to you, Photosynthesis), looking beyond the skating to deliver a complete conceptual package.
