This past weekend saw the cream of Europe’s amateur skateboarding elite descend on Ladbroke Grove’s world famous Bay Sixty6 skate park for the 2015 Nike SB London Am.
With 10000 euros and a free flight to the finals in Berlin at stake people were going big guns right from the off; Saturday’s qualifier session saw the likes of Christiania’s Dannie Carlsen, Berlin’s Justin Sommer and Manchester’s Lloyd McLeggon skate the newly revamped course as though their lives depended on it.
Sunday’s finals amalgamated the top finishers from Saturday with an elite list of pre qualified “super ams”, including the likes of our own Josh Young, Real’s Harry Lintell, Kris Vile, Chris Oliver, Daryl Dominguez alongside a whole host of Nike SB backed humans from all over Europe.
A new twist on the idea of finals meant Mads Christensen walked away with the biggest cheque of the night but a ‘Super bonus round super final’ allowed Ross McGouran to deservedly take the free ticket to Germany. Check the footage below, the weekend really did go off!
