A little while back we shared the debut episode of this brand new series from Transworld, focusing on switch power house Vincent Alvarez' love for all things Gonz. Fast forward a couple of weeks and the guys behind the idea are back, this time letting Antipodean purveyor of pop Andrew Brophy school you on the one and only Mike Carroll.
With a career built in the era where ground tickling tech overload was graciously replaced with a concentration of refinement and style, Daly City native Mike led the pack by pushing boundaries not only in what was possible but also making it look beautiful along the way.
Though his recorded involvement goes right back to the heyday of H Street, followed by stand out parts for Plan Band and then Girl, it's 2000's Transworld release 'Modus Operandi' that really tickles Brophy's pickle and it's easy to see why. If you're not familiar with Carroll's skating outside token tricks in recent Girl and Chocolate releases we implore you to check out his Modus part once this is done; put simply the opening line is quite possibly the best ever committed to tape and if you haven't seen it yet it's something you really oughta acquaint yourself with!
