Say what you want about his position in the industry but Jonny Giger is an interesting man of many contradictions.
Raised in the minuscule principality of Lichtenstein (a tiny 15 mile long strip of land sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria), his career has been spent riding for an American brand with no traditional industry status, yet his YouTube profile is such he used to make more money in a year than big names on Nike SB or adidas.
He favours the ultra technical 'Mullen-esque' flippery that proliferates social media yet you won't see him in silly outfits or employing unnecessary examples of sartorial flare, rather he dresses suitably dope for a man in his early 30's and his skateboarding style is almost impossibly clean.
Which means that, when he releases a new part (as he has just done this week), we sit up and take notice. Now, a word to the wise, we recommend you probably don't watch beyond the three minute mark, as the video turns in to a long winded pitch to join his Patreon, but those first 180 seconds are definitely worthy of your attention.
