Vitória Mendonça: The Route One Interview
Every generation has a few skaters that truly inspire you. Sometimes it's the tricks, sometimes it's the look, sometimes it's the back story; something about them, the X factor if you will, that elevates their position well above their peers and makes you seek out every little bit of content they create. Vitoria Mensonca has all three.
Born and raised in Campo Grande, Brazil, her first skateboard was an empty plastic bottle she found in the trash. Whilst the infamous Monty Python Yorkshire men thought they had it tough growing up, even they'd admit they experienced nothing like Vitoria.
Which is why it's so humbling to see her today, pro for Element, shoe about to drop for adidas and legitimately one of the most exciting skaters on the international scene. When adidas said we had the chance of chat with her we jumped at it. The resultant interview can now be seen below!
