Rough Cut: Kevin Baekkel and Felipe Nunes
It's no secret that footage is a bit thin on the ground in January; the run up to SOTY saw all the heavy hitters dropping content and brands obviously wanted their product fresh in your mind for the Christmas buying season. So it makes little commercial sense to be holding back a part for January. That's why we're sharing so many "rough cut" and compilation clips this week and this post, promoting the Thrasher's Baekkel and Nunes clip, is no different!
Of course the lads themselves need no introduction; everyone knows Baekkel's rail credentials and Felipe Nunes ability to reach the top of the skateboard game, despite losing both legs at age six, is the stuff of legend. So, remember if you will, last summer's Monster full length 'Down Straight Up.' This is, unsurprisingly given the title, the rough cuts from Kev and Felipe's filming missions.
Clearly both lads skate very differently so neither skater's footage blends into the other, this means you're not wasting time wondering "hang on, was that Kevin going switch?" Instead you can just enjoy the harsh beauty that each of them brings to the table. So do it now by clicking the link below!
