Although Love's been lost, Philadelphia's scene strives onwards, hauled up by its bootstraps by those in the city who cherish the Philly heritage. Kevin Bilyeu is a product of the residual energy left over from the city's most prosperous period in the late '90s and early 2000s, taking technical skateboarding to new levels but perpetually paying homage through his spots, fits, and tricks. His latest project with street skating stalwarts DC arrives alongside his own professional colourway of the DC Lynx, a model released in 1998 and made famous by Philadelphia icon and spiritual predecessor to Kevin Bilyeu and his crew, Josh Kalis. And so, the (skateboard) wheel is come full circle.
