Flo Mirtain 'Thirtysomething'
Whilst skateboarding fame flows and ebbs, we have to admit we didn't expect to be hearing much from Flo Mirtain in 2024. Sure, in his Cliche days Flo was an absolute phenom, and no doubt one of the most technical skateboarders to ever come out of mainland Europe, but at 35 and now concentrating on his TM role with New Balance, we figured his 'full part' days were behind him. How wrong we were!
Filmed over the past few years around the responsibilities of the day job, Lyon legend Flo shows that the technical prowess with which he made his name has never left him. 35 certainly isn't old in skateboarding nowadays but to be putting out some of your best stuff a decade and a half after you first shot to fame is no mean feat!
Filmed and edited by Vincent Jugnet in that uber sexy HD 4:3 ratio and released through Free Magazine, this is peak Euro tech done for the love of the game. If it wasn't for our interview with Lola, this would almost certainly be our favourite clip of the week!
