London-forged lens wizard Will Miles wrangles an all-star array of some of the world's most exciting alternative talent in this skateboarding epic for Nike SB. Taking its title from a rare variation on traditional pool, 7 Ball pockets a plethora of talent from the Swoosh's international subsects, including representation from the UK's always-on-trend Atlantic Drift crew; esteemed VIPs straight out of the Limosine; and edgier industry outliers Joseph Campos, Ville Wester, Jack O'Grady, and Eetu Toropainen.
Kyron Davis and Toropainen cushion the project with first and last part respectively, sandwiching a meticulously orchestrated position play of shared and solo parts, and a productive Croatian break that ushers the video through to its midway point. Chris Jones's gently undulating manuals and precise flick parallel Korahn Gayle's powerful-but-graceful performance on a series of gaps and grinds; Noah Mahieu crunches through curbs and crust; Wester and Hugo Boserup go blow-for-blow in an energetic attack on both street and transition; and Jack O'Grady takes four-wheeled demolition to the next level with a relentless tirade on anything and everything.
