After a few months of hearing about this little shredder from Bath, Sparky joined us to help out at one of our "Ramp Antics" events and his stacked trick inventory and effortless style blew us away. It's rare for a skater of such a young age to look so comfortable on board, and we are stoked to have Albie on our Bath team, and look forward to seeing what the future holds for him. They say good things come in small packages, and Sparky certainly fits that rule.
STANCE: Goofy
GO-TO TRICK: 360 Nosegrab. It’s a trick that I’ve always been known for at my local park. I would say I specialise in air outs and the 360 nosegrab is one I had always wanted to do and worked hard to learn.
DREAM TRICK: Impossible. I’ve always thought this was the coolest flat ground tricks out there. I’ve been trying it for ages. I’m still stuck on just doing 3 shoves though, as the wrap doesn’t want to cooperate!
WHO INFLUENCE YOU MOST IN SKATEBOARDING: Probably the older skaters at my local park. They seemed so big and scary when I first started but now, I’m part of the community and they have all played a big part in teaching me and being my friends.
FAVOURITE ROUTE ONE PRODUCT: I like the Route One Supper Baggy Jorts. They’ve always been the only shorts I’ve worn and love how durable they are and how good they look.
FAVOURITE ROUTE ONE SKATER: It would have to be Daniel Plucknett. He’s crazy, and probably one of the only few people you see skating the vert at my local.
IF YOU HAD A PRO GRAPHIC, WHAT WOULD BE ON IT: It would have to be something to do with my Nickname Sparky. Maybe a skull being electrocuted with sparks here and there, with a bottom purple ply.
BEST EVER SKATE MISSION: I rarely street skate, but one day I hit a local spot and landed my first-ever stair set—a 7-stair—at one of the only known skate spots near me.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT SKATING: I mostly chill and play video games at home but also recently picked up the guitar. Also, I like hanging with my mates, partying, and going snowboarding when I’m on holiday.
WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW/LAST SONG PLAYED: I’ve got an eclectic mix on my playlist, but mostly just upbeat stuff. My last song played on Spotify was Magnolia by Playboi Carti.
ANYTHING COMING UP IN THE FUTURE (SKATING OR NOT SKATING) THAT YOU ARE PARTICUARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO: I’m looking forward to going snowboarding for a couple of weeks at Easter and practicing some new tricks. Most of all I’m looking forward to warmer & dryer days so I can spend all my time back in the park!
