In a world of Olympic medals and multi-million dollar shoe contracts, it's easy to forget that the bread and butter of UK skateboarding is the provincial town scenes that rarely get any shine. South Yorkshire's Barnsley is typical; a multitude of talents that few beyond a ten mile radius have heard of, religiously buying the product that keeps the industry liquid.
We once referred to the content that represents these towns as a "nod to the parochial" but to do so undermines the passion and the endeavour necessary to produce genuinely inspiring with the kind of spots that would make Ricky Oyola blush.
Carefully created by the ever talented Myles Rushforth, formerly of Descent fame (Chris Pulman's short-lived but excellent board brand), and featuring everyone from the local moshers to Revive's Olly Roberts, the 'Where's Zak' promo serves to whet the appetite ahead of the full length release later in the year. We guess we'll probably have to share that too, as it's projects like this that keep the British scene alive!
