Diamond Supply Co. Fall/Winter ’15
Route One takes a closer look at Nick Tershay’s Diamond Supply Co. and their varied Fall/Winter ’15 drop as it arrives in the UK.
Beginning life in Tershay’s San Fran apartment, Diamond Supply Co. quickly went from strength to strength after forging connections with Girl Skateboards and Nike, creating those Dunks, which catapulted Diamond into the big time. Since then, Diamond has become known for its distinctive branding and premium quality menswear, footwear and accessories, and this season is no different.
Taking a break from Diamond’s more daring designs, the season’s collection uses capsule ranges to mix Diamond’s iconic branding and artwork with clean basics, and functional outerwear and accessories.
The ‘Stone Cut’ range uses a soft range of greys as a base for clean, minimal branding in combination with premium textures and cuts across tees, jackets and joggers to create an all-season basic range made to stand the test of time.
Well known for their eye-catching and eclectic prints, Diamond’s Fall drop takes a new direction by playing with Art Deco styling through a modern lens, detailed with their signature Tiffany turquoise and diamond motif throughout. City features sit alongside dramatic vintage poster-style prints for a strong graphic look.
This collection also sees a further exploration of this season’s preppy sportswear aesthetic. The Nine Eight pieces mix football and basketball graphics which are simplified down and presented on a range of quality jersey to create an incredibly wearable, sports-flavoured range which is going to be huge.
The drop is finished with one of Diamond’s best accessory ranges to date. Using textures and materials like wool and felting - perfect for the colder months - the range of headwear mixes extremely clean 5-panels and snapbacks with premium embroidered detailing to finish any look.
