Skateboard Cafe 'Impressions'

Feb 2021 by Route One
Impressions, the latest offering from Bristol's home grown Skateboard Cafe, may be a day or so late but we're not going to hold that against them, not when the content is this good!
Opening with Ollie Lock still managing to find new lines at Lloyds, Rich Smith's trusty VX captures the heads at the heart of the South West scene in that classic 4:3 format that makes skateboarding look so damn good. The opening track soon sees Dom Henry and Korahn make hugely welcome, albeit quick, appearances before Savannah Stacey Keenan steps up with an epic slappy 5050 first trick that, if you were sleeping on her ability, smacks you in the face with a big dose of reality - this girl really rips!
Sam Nobbs is up next and although he's repping the biggest jeans seen outside a Korn concert he brings his A game with a switch nose manny so perfect it would make Jonathon Davies blush. A quick clip from the boss man doesn't disappoint and serves as a segue for Rancid Harry to bring the big pop and the punk rock to College Green - an ageless combination everyone can enjoy!
The perma-grinning Shaun Currie steps up his quick footed game with more than a few surprises and Josh Arnott walks away from a shoulder barge to the floor that would make a Bristol Bears player weep and a fakie lipslide at Lloyds even Mystic Meg couldn't see coming. Layth Sami finally closes proceedings, proving he's still got that perfect 90's 'fit and the tricks to match. As the curtains close it's safe to say the latest incarnation of the Skate Cafe team has definitely made an impression on us!
